Koan is obviously confused and ignorant of the implications behind "life from chemistry."

I think I got caught up in that confusion. CJ was only happy to pounce on that "opportunity." He doesn't bother to correct Koan, but then again, Koan is too wrapped up in his own sense of intellectual superiority. Maybe CJ can relate.
