Z, I think you're pointing out exceptions rather than the rule. Those two case studies revolve around antitrust actions.

I don't see any evidence that our country as a rule forced big companies to regularly share their trade secrets with smaller companies. That sounds more like communist China, where intellectual property rights are all but non-existent.
