I am a Datek fan.
$9.99 per trade and the best execution I have seen.
In a recent survey on the performance of On-Line Brokerages during last week's drop, Schwab was 9/10 and E*Trade was 10/10 while Datek scored the top position.
Datek does NOT offer BB stocks and will not offer options until sometime next year, but I have been very impressed and pleased with their service, performance, price, etc.
I am pretty sure there is no limit on quantity, so you should be able to buy 10,000 shares of CAFE for only a $9.99 commission.
One other nice feature: IF YOU ENTER A MARKETABLE ORDER AND IT TAKES LONGER THAN 60 SECONDS TO EXECUTE, NO COMMISSION IS CHARGED! This has happened to me a number of times. Execution in 2 or 3 minutes and no charge!
You also get instant confirmation on the Web, real-time quotes, and real-time account status. They also email confirmations of trades.
