Ciscosux, my 'pom poms' obviously didn't work very well so far. Coms came down from $60 to $40 in no time for NO reason at all - that's really frustrating to me. I wish I can 'pom' coms up to $70 to reward all the coms long :-)

The one thing I don't like right now is too many insiders selling - I hope they'll all lose money long term !! Insiders are really not as smart as you would think - except in some very obvious cases.

The Internet Week article didn't include BAY and Cisco's RAS products because they are very new entrances. BAY 5399 Remote Access Concentrator just came out of Beta and is deployed by SplitRock. It's a very good product but too new to make any impact on market share for now. It's BAY's smart move to support both 56K standards.

The Gateway2000 and AT&T news showed that ISP are forced to use x2 servers simply because 70% 56K modems out there are x2.

Aboveall, the general weakness in High-tech makes me worry about coms making even lower low in the near future :-(
