The shift in computer technology is the obvious trend of communications and data format transmitted, is taking over the information business.

Towns are getting into free hotspots. Gis.net has Boston and Brookline doing hotspot by sections of town.

This trend has not warned cableTV yet; for their future is WiFi/n hotspot in public places. The whole town wired for WiFi/n.

Then, obviously tablets with WiFi/n is the consumer's choice for broadband connection. Its like telco cellphone subscription to be sure. Residences with overlapping WiFi/n[$10 USB device wth 128 channels of mesh posix packets, TLS1.0 encryption plus 10bit video encryption(used by Bank of America) for security built in] covered area will wire up the whole town by tablets sold by broadband suppliers. Eventually every Wifi device is a PBS system to relay posiz packets when some 64Qam channels are vacant. Telcos are now designing the WiFi pbs system(vpn saturated in bonded edgeQam channels in neighborhoods)?

Multiroom is not as important as WiFi. And tablets of Android2.0 or WinCE6.0 on tablets with camera, gps navigation by map at home to prepare for travel.

New technology is coming? CableTV broadband future is WiFi/n(16Qam or 64Qam).
