What I don't understand is why? Why do people care so little about their freedom? Why do they willingly embrace the belief that they are insignificant? What is their reason for living, when they would surely never be missed out of a society of 4 billion?

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, so they say, with nothing of significance in between. Too bad.
