In a move oddly reminiscent …

… of the spat that preceded the 1987 stock market crash, the US and Germany have begun to publicly dissent in the forefront of the next G-20 meeting over the kind of economic policies that should be implemented at this point in time. As we reported previously, even Paul Krugman has seen fit to insert himself rather publicly into this discussion. As CNN reported on Friday, the 'White House begins new Stimulus Push'. Completely undeterred by the failure of the biggest bout of stimulus spending in all of history to produce anything more than the weakest recovery of the entire post WW2 era, the US government is evidently hell-bent on doing even more of what has already demonstrably failed to work.
