As things are coming along and the worst of the worst hasn't happened (at least not yet and hopefully won't), I sense some disappointment in the msm and amongst certain on the left (not you). where's the outrage then? daym, they thought they'd get to go into day 80, then 100, and yell and yell and show pictures of more and more dead pelicans and blackened beaches.

More than 15,000 feet of boom was deployed Monday in an effort to prevent oil from soiling sensitive areas of the Alabama coastline, according to a morning briefing by Coast Guard Commander Chuck Diorio.

Diorio's briefing outlined Monday's containment efforts, including:
Deployment of 11,100 feet of hard boom
Deployment of 4,640 feet of absorbant boom
880 boats in the Vessels of Opporunity program, including 361 working in oil surveillance in near-shore waters
In addition, 34 overflights are scheduled today to check on the oil slick, which has been moving eastward in recent days.

Diorio also said that 740 qualified community responders -- workers who largely perform manual labor on the beaches -- worked on Monday.
