The guy seems to slice and dice effectively even if he doesn't hedge. I think he does what Wade does often and trades stocks for gold when he feels a correction coming on. Personally, I've been selling higher and buying back lower more often than not in 2010. I nailed the top last Friday and Monday morning and started buying back and reduced hedges yesterday:

Since my PF was close to 2010 highs and we were entering OPEX week, Fed Speak, and g-20, I felt it was prudent to hedge and raise cash especially since my stocks were getting a bit overbought on the daily. My move more than paid for commissions and more importantly helped me sleep at night. I'll probably sell the rest of my HGD and be all in by sometime today or tomorrow if things work out as I see it.
