"...my kids and grand-kids hate me. My wife walked out on me because I was drunk and beat her. I spent 30 years in jail for molesting a kid. But there's only one thing in life I regret and will never come to terms with. It's that TEFQX fund I still hold after 30 years because I'm still waiting for Brinker to tell me it's OK to sell it and I didn't sell it when Brinker gave his 2000 sell signal."

Mark, I've already corrected you on this once and you seem to ignore it. Lets try again.

Brinker said to KEEP 40% of his P1 and P2 in the market in 2000 when he said to reduce equities in his January 2000 newsletter.

His February 2000 newsletter had a FULL PAGE recommending TEFQX for up to 5% of the total portfolio (or 13% of the 40% kept in the market). He did NOT add it to his model portfolios but bragged about the advice the next month on the radio when a caller was upset he was out of the market and not participating in its great gains.

Brinker made this recommendation AFTER bashing internet stocks for most of their rise in 1998 through February 2000.

Now we are comparing his recent "off the books" recommendation for Gold (by adding it to his recommended list but not his model portfolios) as perhaps much the same... bashing gold for most of the 2000s then adding it AFTER it is up some 5x over that period.

Why don't you try to answer the question. Do YOU think his adding Gold to his recommended list after a huge gain is similar to how he added TEFQX in February 2000 to his recommended list?

If you need that in simple terms... do you think Gold is in a bubble now like TEFQX was in 2000?

IF you understand how Brinker really works... it is easy to see what he does with his "off the books" recommendations. When they are a bust, they are dropped and calls not allowed. If they go up, like MSFT from the 1980s... then he brags about them on the radio until they stop working.
