the government looks pathetic compared to business when we see what they say and do. guy from coast guard seemed pretty good and fair and sensible. the government is not constructive. that is not their goal, at all.

the people are unfair; they want something for nothing; they want good things, but don't want to pay or follow rules themselves. they use and waste energy and want it cheap but oppose what is necessary to get it. they want benefit of drugs and other IP but don't want to pay for it. U S A creates IP. Others steal it or use it cheap. Meanwhile Americans pay more for movies, drugs, etc. than others do.

media and politicians pander to the public.

there is a contest to be as punitive as possible to banks, drug companies, oil companies, the rich (except entertainers).

people gamble, drink, take illegal drugs, don't learn although education is cheap, don't pay much in taxes, act foolishly, shortsightedly, don't save, don't invest, buy things on credit and don't pay the creditors, have kids and don't take care of them, don't pay for insurance, don't save for retirement - and they are pandered to. But, BP has a fortune, so we go after it.
