<When one FAIRLY considers all these facts, one concludes that it is important to be informed about Brinker's successes and FAILURES through the bull and bear markets.

Sure, but whether you're testing a new drug or a car or a household cleaning product the question is always how does it do compare to its peers?

Hopefully you won't twist this into an attack on women but many years ago I did subscribe briefly to Elaine Garzarelli's newsletter to get another market timing opinion and shortly after I had telephones ringing and urgent mail coming in saying get out of all US stocks immediately.

Bob was calling the same thing a gift horse buying opportunity. Bob proved right and I wasted a lot of time and money worrying about what Garzarelli said.

Should we compare him to Bob Prechtor who's been calling for Dow 400 much of the time until he occasionally turns bullish.

I'm not really interested in what technicians have to say. The reason I, and I suspect others, started following Bob in the first place was because I heard him make one brilliant market call after another and after a period of time decided this guy is really good and I want to follow him.

I also came to realize that I didn't really know much that I thought I knew about the markets until I started listening and subscribing to Bob in 1993 or so.

I read and subscribe to a lot of things about investing and the only thing I find invaluable is using Bob's long term timing model and opinion as a starting point.

Some of the stuff you guys obsess about reminds me when I was a kid and read a Marvel comic book and there would always be tons of letters coming in pointing out some little error in the comic that wasn't consistent with what was shown before. It's like these kids had nothing better to do but obsess about it. If you don't like Brinker go read a DC comic and stop writing a million letters to the editor.
