After all they paid Obama $80,000 so he would look the other way.

Where is this coming from. So now are they asking for this money back? If not, why not? Or is that Obama whispered "Sorry, I can't help it you have to pay up" in their ears. We know the interest the judge had in ruling against the ban and the Congressman's interest in apologizing to BP. But I didn't hear any media reports that Obama got paid off to look the other way.
