Otter, I am a hard core yellow dog dem. So I will always vote dem. I see this more as an argument within my family. No question about the right wing's insanity.

The right wing is fine with spending billions on those nutso wars, but refuse to extend unemployment benefits (57 to 41 today) for the unemployeed with 10 to 20% unemployment.

Here is really my point, the great psychologist Eric Fromm once said: "the most neurotic person is s/he who adapts successfully to a neurotic system e.g. The Third Reich, or even segregation. Look how long we went along with that bullshit. 1964!

I see us doing that, and it seems only the far left also sees it. And this has nothing to do with Obama.

1) 71% of the people were in favor of invading Iraq. That is nuts. Pornographic patriotism Norman Mailer called it.

2) Four of our supreme court justices are seriously mentally ill with severe sociopathic personalities and are not only not fit to sit as judges, but should have counseling.

But we all act like they are just conservatives with no pathology implied.

Corporations have become so strong they threaten to undermine our democracy, are undermining our democracy e.g. Wall street, yet we still sort of go along. After almost causing a worldwide financial crises from gambling they made out like bandits using their lobbyists and mainstreet is still reeling.

It is what we are taking for granted that is the cause of my concern. And the 5% of the far left who also see it.
