The newspaper industry is failing in America because the target audience of their advertisements consists largely of undesirables in urban areas.
Consider the reality that Detroit is unable to attract a national chain grocer or Wal-Mart because of the endemic social problems presented by those who cannot behave long enough to engage in the simple act of commerce or even come to work.
Indeed, the problem with the modern-day newspaper model is that their target audience is pre-occupied with robbing package liquor stores, committing other violent felonies, including rape, assault, and homicide, and waiting for their next welfare checks to arrive. They are simply not inclined to buy and read newspapers, assuming that they can read at all.
Likewise, their wealthy, egalitarian enablers are quite busy congratulating themselves for having created the perfect utopian society. Ergo, they do not have time to buy and read newspapers either.
I recommend shorting urban newspapers that show any flashes of strength. Of course, the U.S. government will likely force the taxpayers, at gunpoint, to bail them out. Recall that they are already threatening to do so as they add to the growing realm of fascism in America.
If the government proceeds to artificially prop up the newspapers, maybe you should buy paper stocks instead, such as IP. After all, if the newspapers are artificially kept alive like zombies, they will still require paper to print their daily trash, regardless of whether they sell any newspapers or not. Plus, the politicians will need extra TP to wipe their soiled bums after defecating on American taxpayers each day.
My friends, America was doomed from the moment that the U.S. Congress failed to adequately fund President Lincoln's Liberia Project to repatriate the freed slaves. The tragic results speak clearly of what that failure has cost America over the decades.
If anyone can convincingly show me a single strength of diversity and multiculturalism, I will admit I am wrong.
