I'm very confused regrading the use of MSWin with TC-Pro.

I keep reading about a 255 security/directory limit.

Before I buy MSWin, can anyone tell me if the following is
possible.

1: Download all 9000+ securities with TC2000 (I know
this works).
2: Run datacon to convert all 9000+ securities to a
MSWin format (will this work? any guess on how long
this would take a P166 machine to complete).
3: Use MSWin's scranning features to locate securities
of interest (can MSWin work on a 9000+ security
database, or is it limited to 255?).

I was considering purchasing WOW-Pro because it can
directly read the TC2000 data. But I would prefer to
purchase MSWin if the conversion of a 9000+ database
is possible, and not too time consuming.

I greatly appreciate all the feedback I've received
from folks here. After I learn more about what is
involved with the TC2000-to-MSWin data conversion,
I'll feel much more comfortable about placing an
order (MSWin or WOW-Pro).

Thanks again,
-- Chris
