Alexander the Great king of Macedon defeated them about 2300 years ago, not much since then, until Bush the Great undefeated leader of the Western world whooped them. He was succeeded by Obama the (still to be determined), under which the victory may or may stand as a final victory. Napolean couldn't do it, no success in WWII or by the Soviet Empire.
