I picked up a SATA Seagate drive recently, didn't know it came with Acronis. Thought I'd try it out this weekend. Create an Acronis bootable cd. Create an image of my IDE drive onto an external drive. Remove the IDE drive. (my mobo supports both IDE and SATA) Boot from the Acronis boot disk. Restore the image onto the new SATA drive?
