I'm not "backing BP". But I believe in just outcomes and convicting these guys in the media without a proper hearing of the facts and circumstances is not the way to get a just outcome.

Perhaps they'll be shown to have been incompetent. Perhaps they won't. Just enumerating their "safety violations" may be fine for Shep Smith, but it is really immaterial to this incident unless some such violation caused the accident. And this cannot be determined as yet.
