Unfortunately, I do see liberals as advocating we adopt a centralized national energy policy directed by an elite of presumed wise government planners ..... and thats alarmingly close to what the communist countries did.

Come to think of it, that nighttime pic of North Korea above - isn't it good from a liberal and environmental standpoint that they (NK) produce so little carbon? That they aren't addicted to oil? That their people don't burn much fossil fuels? Wouldn't a lot of environmentalists love our country to look like theirs at night? They're not driven by evil corporations who greedily want to make profits.

Maybe we should adopt them as a model - they actually have achieved what liberals and environmentalists say we should shoot for.

Could any liberal or environmental minded person tell me what is the difference between what they want for the US and what NK has achieved?
