"Did you watch the owls from when they were hatched till now?" the parents have been around for about 4 years, but we have never seen any babies until this year. I think I found the nest yesterday(although they will move to another nest when the old one gets dirty) it's about 30 feet off the ground. Never saw the babies until they were old enough to leave the nest, they leave before they can fly and hang out near by, if the fall they use their claws and beaks to climb back up. PS I haven't seen a squirrel in like 3 weeks and we normally have tons of them
