I'll let you and Krugman argues as to who has read the economics of the Great Depression correctly, Kate. Right now I'm worried that the Senate's reluctance to pass a bill that would help state budgets leads to further economic contraction at the state level--I'm obviously thinking of consequences for k-12 public education in Jersey, among other things. And Krugman's arguments make sense there.
