CJ - just strarted "Darwin's Radio" - I read everything Bear wrote after I read "Blood Music", but as with so many authors, I moved on and didn't keep up with his later works.

I just read a Phillip K. Dick I'd never read, "The Man Who's Teeth Were Exactly Alike". I'd probably never read it because it isn't SF! Just a straight fiction novel. I didn't know he'd written any. The library has it filed as SF.

A guy you might like, fantasy, not SF, is Tim Powers.
