I worked on clearing the pass for the road from /Skagway to Whitehorse out of the laors union. They flew us in, in helicopters each day and we cut trees and piled them 10 hours a day. 6/10's. Real steep. Beautiful fresh granit. They threw the helicopter into the gulch when they picked us off the ledge. Boy was I in good shape at the end-lol. Beautiful country. White pine is pretty. We do not have that in Juneau or much ceder. Yellow ceder stops at Petersberg. Some red ceder I think?? All we have is spruce and hemlock and cottonwoods and alder.
