Isn't it funny that gold is down again in the middle of all this. During and right after the 1987 crash gold went up and silver looked like the Hunt brothers were back in business. Then they both slipped into a ten-year bear market. What's to prevent the opposite from happening now? Looks like a final shake-out of diehard goldbugs? Maybe a collapse of stocks will pull gold right on down as people switch to bonds and cash. Could be a terrific buying opportunity. But I am waiting until it's completely irresistable.
