Yes, what to do now is the issue. The time for blame is past and relatively counterproductive. It will be interesting to see how each of the EU countries tackles things because there's actually quite a bit of variation from country to country in terms of entitlements. Greece is actually shocking, at least to me. Retire at 60 with a pension 90% of your salary. The math is just not there to support such a thing, even using ambitious projected rates of investment return. It's almost a Ponzi setup.
