That's it? And I thought it was because Republicans just don't like regulation, period.

I'm kind of surprised that the Democrats don't have enough votes. I figured there should be at least a few Republicans that would break party lines and pass a "do something" bill. I have no freakin' clue whether the bill actually does anything or not, but I bet neither does the vast majority of Congress.

I guess the death of Robert Byrd is doing to financial reform what Ted Kennedy's death did to Obamacare. Throw a wrench into the liberal agenda. How many other old and rickety Dem senators need to be kept on life support?
