I actually sort of agree with Ten. Supposedly the stimulus is a stop-gap until the private sector starts hiring. But, the private sector will only start hiring here when we are paid like Chinese! The jobs are NEVER coming back.

Where I part from Ten is that the stimulus is keeping people's heads above water, which makes it worthwhile for that reason.

What we need to transition to is some form of a dole, maybe incorporating infrastructure make-work, paid by workers like Ten, to provide a minimal existence for the growing legions of unemployed and their dependents.

Let's be honest on both sides. Why should Ten ski in Europe when even ONE American family is starving?
