I had my doubts about Miers and was therefore supportive of the decision to withdraw her nomination.

Kagen's nomination is a joke.

After saddling us with an inexperienced [read: incompetent] President, the Dems have no compunction about supporting nomination of an unqualified person to the USSC.

It's a sign of the times.

Hubris, the *correct* political ideology, and fake smarts trump competence and true intellectual ability with Democrats all the time.

The hypocrisy of their enthusiastic support of Kagen in contrast to their disdain of the more qualified Miers is typical. Just look at how all the lib cheerleader sites scrubbed their prior criticisms of Petraeus after Obama selected him to replace McCrystal.

It's all a joke with these people.

I wish I could laugh it off.
