I've always found it curious that there is so little government
funding for fusion power research and so much for other so called alternative
energy schemes like corn-to-ethanol.

I've been following fusion power developments since 1967. It's
always been decades away from commercial development every decade.
I no longer expect to see wide spread commercial fusion power in my lifetime,
or yours for that matter.
