THAT is so true. It's why I like reading historical novels..... Right now I am learning a lot about Whittaker Chambers in reading his biography by Sam Tanenbaum.. I never knew that a lot of what was transpiring in the forties and fifties was occurring and being a student at college I sided with those who were very pro Stalinist. This book has opened my eyes.. Even at my age it's not too late. AND not only cycles repeat themselves.. HISTORY does too and it's why I like a politician who is familiar with history... We can learn a lot from the past... .both good and bad..
