1. yes, only problem is you will not get auto changes splits/name/new stocks in converted metastock, you have to build directories again but not a big deal. 2. 4000 used to take me 1.5 min 3. explorer can span directories. It is not as fast as tc2000 (dos vs win) but is comparable to WOW. Direct read is best, but Equis won't do it. A dumb decision. I think of it as a Apple mentality
