The only way I can figure it is that Pelosi must be some kind of idiot savant, ignorant of everything but the machinations of power on the Hill. That's the most spot on observation of Nancy I've read. I can understand her having a safe seat, given her looney constituency. But navigating her way to the Top O'The Hill while being the most reviled woman in American politics is something more abnormal than rational. What does it say about the elected congress that seems to cow before such a radical? Scary.
