Heinz, at the beginning of the bubble implosion in 2000 related that horror movies do well in times of economic distress. There was a slew of them in the 70's, and recently we had the remake of "The Hills Have Eyes" and "Dawn of the Dead" (although I vastly preferred the original DOTD). Definitely something to that theory.

I'm waiting for the first horror movie related to the Gulf Oil spill.....maybe a Godzirra remake if they nuke it, or a Toxic Avenger episode.....
