I agree with you 100% about our being controlled by the rich and powerful corporations. They aer undrmining our democracy. YOu think the fed is bad, it isnothing compared to the suprmeem court.

But we might differ on how we think we got here.

To me it is pretty simple and straightforward. Democracy has a flaw. The flaw is financing of campaigns. The people with the most money can buy congress people. I know, I ran for our state legislature once. When some big entity gives a big conribution you owe them.

So there is only one way to stop that. Public financing of campaigns and keep the election cycles short, like they do in England.

The dems have been trying to get public financing of campaigns for 50 years and the Republicans always stop them because they get more money from corporations and are the part of big business.

Ironic it is so often the working man who supports them. Helps them steal our money. Like the 182 billion to AIG.

The people are to blame for not insisting on public financing of campaigns.
