It would not take 60 votes in this Senate to get moderate legislation thru - NAFTA would not take 60, Welfare Reform would not take 60,...Clinton moved his agenda toward issues like those that were embraced beyond just the left wing of his own party. Clinton did that because he lacked a super majority in the Senate - he was pragmatic and effective. Obama could learn much from Clinton.
