Jeff, RE: NationsBank. $100 Million is a large number, but ... to help put this in perspective: NB's IT budget for 1997 is $1.13B. (Yes, B as in Billion!) They have a similar budget for '98. A quick calculation shows they are spending less than 5% of their '97 & '98 IT budgets on Y2K work.

BTW, NB has 4700 in-house IT employees. They are planning on completing the work by the end of 1998 (earlier now according to the article you posted) using in-house talent.
