The thing that surprised me about the Arizona situation is that the vast majority of people in Arizona (supposedly 65%-70%) support what the Governor is trying to do there, yet Arizona has an extremely large hispanic population. What that means is that a large part of the hispanic population in AZ must be in favor of what the governor is doing.

Obama is on the wrong side of this issue from a public opinion point of view and the Democratic congressmen from AZ (I think there are three, at least until the election) are having a tough time.
