I presented a link you lame brained nitwit.
Prove it wrong then I'll post a link to all 500 stories on google.
First of all, as I posted earlier, the author, whom you consider to be an authority, is a professor of economics who summers on the Gulf. Now how does any of that make him an authority on oil rigs, oil spills and skimmers? You tell me. you big blowhard.
Secondly, one of the mispresentations in his article had to do with the Jones Act. Its a lie stated over and over again by the right because that's what the right does best.......LIE. Probably the good professor doesn't know its a lie because he's doesn't know squat about oil rigs, oil spills et al. In any case this is what he said:
Next, the Obama administration can waive the Jones Act, which restricts foreign ships from operating in U.S. coastal waters. Many foreign countries (such as the Netherlands and Belgium) have ships and technologies that would greatly advance the cleanup. So far, the U.S. has refused to waive the restrictions of this law and allow these ships to participate in the effort.
Now here's the reality:
"The Coast Guard spokesman said that there are no legal concerns holding up the “A Whale” skimmer. The Jones Act, which prohibits foreign ships from operating in or near U.S. ports in many circumstances, does not apply to skimmers.

Now I am not going to go through the rest of his misrepresentations and provide you with links.....its a waste of my time. There is so much misinformation encouraged by the right that all it does is frustrate people. Besides that won't stop you from repeating the same lies over and over again because that's the kind of people you all are.
One last comment........its very sad what's become of the WSJ. The paper was once a high quality, albeit conservative paper. Unfortunately, Murdoch is doing to it what he did to Fox News. Soon it will be no better than toilet paper. Why do you all destroy everything you touch? |
