Agree, (in general).

Particularly with the 'will take generations' comment. (But that is probably for a nearly complete transition. Steady, incremental progress will be made all along. The over all trend will continue apace.)

As for the "well over a century" I suggest that you might not be giving sufficient weight to one important point: Yes, oil/coal will still be used for many things a century past from now... but reserves will be *much* smaller and consider the COST that will be in effect when they trade.

Cost will pay a dominant role in the energy transition.
