Absurd claims there.

Are you claiming India's development of nuclear power is the result of some nefarious plot by the evil Bush to get "their share of world oil production".

What IS "their share" anyway?

Is there any evidence India is giving up any of "their share of world oil production"?

To the contrary, Indian oil companies seem to be pursuing oil and gas development deals even outside India. Examples:

Reliance Industries recently signed a joint venture with Pioneer Natural Resources to develop shale gas reserves in the US.

Oil India Limited announced a joint venture agreement in Venezuela; the year before they bought oil tracts in Libya

Essar Oil is drilling in Vietnam
