do you have college age kids ? I know a guy who's daughter was trying to get in some Ivys high SATs (1400-1500), GPA,club ,sports etc. She had a classmate 850 sat,2.5 gpa, no clubs, no sports. she used Stanford as a fall back school got in right away and two Ivys The daughter of my friend didn't get in any of them. a girl in my kids school 1100 sats, Spainish last name. Said she was cuban, she was her parents were giant land owners there for 5 generations from Spain, left when Castro took over. She has red hair and blue eyes, got into Yale. other girls with Sats 300 points higher didn't. aand schools will care there people along because of Fed monies, even into grad school and medical school. Too much money involved.
