If austerity works the government should practice it. But, it believes in too big to fail and thinks if it is big enough it can't fail the people when the opposite is true. Fat and corrupt is no way to govern. Since being smaller and living within your means is necessary the truth shouldn't be ignored...see a doctor!<g> We have excess spending, excess laws regulating everything. Intrusion and meddling in every aspect of our existence. Government needs to tend to the basics nothing more in the protection of our well being and liberty.
