I go back to the mid-70s. Just when I was taking up soccer at the advanced age of 20, along came the wonderful Toby Charles and Soccer Made in Germany on PBS -- youtube.com -- plus there was coverage of English soccer somewhere, probably on CBC, from which I formed my attachment to Everton, who were enjoying a purple patch at the time.
