We also supported Japan's finances by keeping a big trade imbalance (400-600 billion dlrs/yr). Krugman's wrong to think we can just replicate Japan and have the same results. The real desire of the Keynesians is to trash the dollar and hope the other countries are forced into manic pump-priming to keep up.
