Will the Spanish midfield, the engine of the whole team, still be around in four years? The whole team is starting to age, but I am sure they will make a great run in two years at the European Cup. OTOH, Germany will lose no one but Ballack, and IMO all of these players will be much better in two years, much less four. I am going to, no doubt futilely, cheer for Holland because I have a lot of Dutch friends from among the musicians I have met at various jazz festivals over the years. I also know two people who live in Spain, but one is Argentinian and the other is Dutch! LC
