Our third world southern neighbors have better control of their borders than we do. How is that possible? Is our border too big as lately that has been the excuse? To travel anywhere in Mexico south of 50 miles or out of tourist areas I have to get papers as a gringo to be shown on demand that describe where I'm going and where I'll be staying. That's if I want to abide by the letter of the law. $20 usually is sufficient if I don't have them.
