Hospital livescan app is Identix, not NRID Although I too was blindsided by my State government choosing DBII over Identix, one thing I am sure of is that the NEC LaPorte, Indiana hospital application uses Identix scanners, not NRID's. It is easy to get mislead by the article because the NRID official's quote comes directly after the description of the LaPorte application. Notice the NRID official does not comment on the LaPorte application, but on the Kennedy-Kassebaum bill. The NRID thread is confused about this article also. Regarding DBII's Indiana win - If Identix had won the contract everybody would have sneezed over it, but losing it to DBII has made it a warning sign of the future demise of IDX. Some of us may be eternal IDX optimists. Others will continue to be eternal IDX alarmists.
