I'd like to see Elmer post some actual numbers re: his purported "skyrocketing tax environment", especially as related to Intel.

I would have but your "That's BS" was such a devastating argument that I slinked away to lick my wounds...

First off, it has nothing to do with Intel specifically, where did you get that idea? It's about the dividend tax rate. I guess you wouldn't be aware that it expires at the end of this year but hopefully your food stamps won't be effected. Also tax rates in general expire this year as well, not that it would effect you either.

So the point is, companies may seek different ways to reward shareholders than simply raising dividends, only to be taxed at higher rates. As you have seen, AMD has avoided paying dividends over it's entire corporate history. Surely with it's shareholder's best interests in mind.
