All politics is local, especially so in Mexico ... no election in SLP this year, had it last year so the sexenio will run to 2015, gobernador is priista and a surgeon, not an unreasonable man according to a lamentably socialistic friend ... you'll be aware how little ideological differences matter there, how it's more about individual actions and interests, factional distinctions within and without parties ... and always fluctuating - don't be too surprised to see a resurrection of the PRI, and don't assume you know what that means in policy, without checking, even who it means - the priista of tomorrow may be a panista/perredista of yesterday, or vice versa ... they got that s.o.b. in Oaxaca out on sunday, anyhow
If/when the local people are on side with a mine, it will go ahead, if not then it will sit and wait till they are, if ever ... there is always some opposition, it's the average that counts, in this sense quite democratic once all the process has been worked out ... which takes considerable time anywhere on this continent, famously in Mexico but i defy you to start up a mine in BC inside of a single decade
Caught the news yesterday morning, managed to put in some bids on ngd c-wts, most filled nicely, beautiful reload of what has become quite a good trader for us ... thought about a-wts, but didn't think they would go to .90 so didn't bother, aargh ... well they may do that again, or better ... i don't see a hurry on them or the common right now, thing is hurt and needs to heal, i'm confident it will, in time ... didn't sell any yesterday, holding a little on Amex and nominal shs on Toronto, by the time i tuned into them it was way down already, so what the hell ... anyway, story's not over by any means, it's been a great trader and will continue to be, imho
fnv.wt - added Franco wts this week ... also ogc.to, su.to, arn.v |
